Tea with a Pony

A sensory experience for anyone living with dementia who can be driven here on a Tuesday afternoon during term time by their partner, carer, or family member.  A session in the stable yard,  whilst having tea and cake, followed by a chance to pet or groom a pony, can trigger past memories and build new ones to share with loved ones.

 

At the Centre on a Tuesday afternoon during term time at 2.15pm. Participants or their carers need to fill in a form which covers them for insurance purposes. (downloaded from this page) and we make a small charge of £15.00 per participant.Sessions take place in the stable yard, observing a lesson,, grooming or stroking a pony followed bytea and cake with the volunteers.
